Two crafts, one house.
Bookkeeping is the record. Financial control is the judgment. Most owners need both, and most only ever get one.
SMALL BUSINESS BOOKKEEPING
You started your business to do the work you love, not to wrestle with your books. I work with owners who want accurate books, honest reporting, and a bookkeeper genuinely invested in their success.
Essential Bookkeeping. Clean monthly books, reconciliations, and a plain language summary of where you stand.
Full-Service Bookkeeping. Everything in Essential plus AR and AP tracking, and custom services.
FINANCIAL CONTROL
Reports are easy to produce and hard to trust. Financial control is the work that makes them worth reading. Your books are built so the numbers hold up, the month closes when it is supposed to, and you can see what is coming instead of finding out later. One person stands behind all of it. This is the work of a fractional controller: the oversight a larger company gets from a full time controller, sized for a small business.
Cash you can see coming. Not just what is in the account today, but what is landing and leaving over the next ninety days, so you know what you can actually spend.
Decisions backed by numbers. Whether you can afford the hire, the equipment, the expansion. Answered before you commit, not after.
Deadlines handled early. Payroll, set asides, filings and compliance tracked well before they come due, so nothing lands on you at the last minute. Your CPA comes to me for what they need.
Every set of books is a form of stewardship. Let me help you keep yours well.

Your accounts reconciled to the penny, your books closed on schedule, and a plain language summary of where you stand. Not a folder of reports you have to interpret. If something in the numbers needs your attention, you hear it from me before you have to ask.
-
No. Most books need work before they need maintenance. Cleanup is quoted separately from the monthly work and it is one and done. Once the file is right, the monthly work is what keeps it right.
-
Monthly, agreed up front, after I have looked at your books. No surprise invoices. The first call is free and there is no obligation at the end of it.
-
Yes, and that is by design. I keep the books so your CPA can do tax work instead of cleanup. When they need something at filing time, they come to me rather than to you.
-
Whatever you already use. QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop and Xero are the most common, and I am not limited to them. If you are starting from nothing, I will tell you which one fits your business and set it up properly the first time.
-
No. I work with business owners anywhere. Everything runs through your accounting file and a scheduled call, so where you are does not change the work.
-
If the file needs cleanup, that happens first and it is separate one time work. Once the file is current the monthly rhythm starts, and you hear from me during the month rather than only at the end of it.
