Know where your business stands, every month.

Fractional controller services for owners who’ve outgrown basic bookkeeping. One person in your corner who owns the numbers, closes the month and tells you what they mean.

Notebook with a hand-drawn rising-and-falling graph labeled “The Past” and “The Future,” alongside pens, ruler, books, and papers on a wooden desk.

What a controller does

A bookkeeper records what happened. A controller makes sure that record is right, closes the month on time, and tells you what the numbers mean before your next decision. Most small businesses never have one until something goes wrong. I give you that oversight without the cost of a full time hire.

This is for you if

  • Your month closes late, or never really closes

  • Cash surprises you, good or bad

  • Big decisions get made on gut and a bank balance

  • Your CPA or lender keeps sending the books back

  • You’re the only one checking what gets spent

What you get each month

  • The month closed on schedule, every account reconciled to the statement

  • A report package: profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, with a plain language summary of what changed and what to watch

  • A clear look at cash: what’s coming in, what’s going out, and what you can actually spend

  • Decisions backed by numbers: the hire, the equipment, the expansion, answered before you commit

  • Payroll, sales tax and 1099s handled on time

  • Controls that fit a small business: who can spend, who approves, and written steps for the routine work

  • Job costing, if your business runs on jobs

  • Year end handoff to your CPA, so they come to me instead of you

One person in your corner

A duplicate charge. A cost on the wrong job. A bill about to come due. I catch these early because I know how your business runs, and I tell you in plain words before they turn into problems. You text or call me directly.

Bookkeeper, controller, CFO, CPA

Bookkeeper. Records and reconciles the transactions.

Controller. Owns the accuracy of the books, the monthly close, the controls and the reporting.

CFO. Long range strategy, raising money, big picture planning.

CPA. Taxes. I’m not a CPA and I don’t prepare returns. I keep the books so your CPA can do tax work instead of cleanup, and I work with them directly.

How it starts

One. Tell me about your business on a short intake form, then pick a time for a free 30 minute call.

Two. I look at your books and tell you plainly what shape they’re in. If they need cleanup, that’s quoted separately and done first.

Three. Monthly oversight, at a price agreed up front.

Questions

Do I need a controller or a bookkeeper?

If you mostly need transactions entered and accounts reconciled, a bookkeeper. If you need the numbers right, on time and explained, with someone watching cash and deadlines, that’s controller work. Many owners need both, and I do both.

I already have a bookkeeper. Can you work with them?

Yes. They keep handling the day to day entries, and I review the work, close the month and report to you.

Do I still need a CPA?

Yes. Your CPA handles tax planning and returns. I hand them clean books.

What does it cost?

Monthly, agreed up front after I’ve looked at your books. No surprise invoices.

No pressure and no obligation. Just your business, your books, and whether we are a good fit.
